Principle

Human rights as a baseline

We start from existing human rights as the minimum baseline. When World4Humans adds a project-specific rule, we label it as our proposal.

The proposal

Applicable legal obligations remain specific to their respective sources; World4Humans also adopts a voluntary non-regression benchmark and does not replace existing rights.

How to read it

Sources identify relevant rights, methods, findings or precedents. They do not automatically establish the full World4Humans formulation. Where the project makes its own choice, that choice remains open to criticism and revision.

Sources and literature

Authority
Mixed authority; each source applies within its own scope.
Relationship
An external framework provides a baseline or component; World4Humans adds a separate project-level integration or operational choice.
